TJ Simers makes Kobe Bryant Simmer

kobe Sports commentator T.J. Simers had an interesting quick interview with Kobe Bryant on Wednesday that appeared in the LA Times today. Kobe was at practice in Las Vegas for Team USA, where he was affectionately referred to as the ‘Kobster’ in his LA Times article. It seemed more like the paparazzi hounding Paris Hilton in front of the Ivy restaurant in West Hollywood with forceful repetitive questions that you could obviously tell was frustrating Kobe.

Kobe’s answers where quite short, giving the “leave me the F alone” little bothersome man vibe.

“So, what do you think of the Garnett deal?”

“As far as what?”

“Are you disappointed the Lakers couldn’t make something happen?”

“I don’t have a reaction either way,” he said. “I don’t think about it too much.”

“You don’t think about the Lakers, and what they could or could not do to improve after everything you had to say?”

“Why should I?”

I guess Kobe is just plain tired of being asked the same damn question this summer. I know why he might be mad, maybe because good old Mitch Kupchak just went on vacation; and won’t be back until the 24th. He is probably thinking, why in the world is this guy on vacation and not making things happen. He should be making things happen so I wouldn’t have to be asked these stupid questions from this little prick call T.J. Simers. Also the retard named Kupchak was quoted saying, if the season started today, he’d be fine with it. Wow! One hell of a statement to make, after your star player asked/demanded for a drastic change to be made. That’s it, thats why Kobe was so short with him.

Simer’s speculated that Kobe was so “snappy” because he was one of the three random players to be included in the drug test for the team. I don’t think so, Kobe’s been around long enough to know how stuff goes. Simers is full of it.

Simers read Mitch’s comments about the current team quoted above to Kobe and asked, “So what do you say?”

“Talk to Mitch about it, man, “If that’s what he feels, that’s what he feels.”

Simers went to ask for his real opinion..

“I don’t have one,” he said.

“You’re telling me, the Lakers aren’t on your mind?”

“Write what you want to write, man,” Kobe replied to Simers.

“You made your future with the Lakers an issue, and don’t you think you have left Lakers fans hanging?”

Simers said Kobe rolled his eyes and said, “I’m not making it an issue any more.”

“Does that mean you will be at training camp?”

“I have no reason not to be,”

Simers sarcastically said, “Your guy, Ric Bucher, says you will never play in a Lakers uniform again.”

“You know what, man, we’ll see what happens.”

Kobe walked away saying, “Maybe I just don’t like seeing you here.”

So basically T.J. Simers pissed off our superstar. I can understand why Kobe was angry with him, and I can also understand why Simers was trying to pester Kobe. To get some clarification, and some answers — for Laker Fans.

But bottom line. Stop acting like the paparazzi.
