Trevor Ariza Exercises 2009 Player Option

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) — Forward Trevor Ariza, acquired in a November trade with Orlando, has exercised his player contract option to remain with the Los Angeles Lakers.

A source close to the situation says a CT Scan on Friday showed enough improvement that Ariza has been green lit to participate in basketball drills and non-contact practices.
